A hike through the Marin headlands of northern California.

History

Point Bonita Lighthouse can be found in the Marin headlands of northern California. It was constructed in 1855 and moved to its current location in 1877.

It was the third lighthouse to be built on the West Coast following Alcatraz and Fort Point.

The lighthouse is still active and is currently maintained by the United States Coast Guard.

A wooden bridge connects the point to the Marin headlands.
