| The second most populous area in the United States, Los Angeles County is home to over 9,000,000 people. |
 Originally erected in 1923 to promote a real estate development, the sign has since become an international icon for the city and its film industry. |

 One of my favorite activities is biking along the 26-mile coastal path that stretches from Malibu through Santa Monica all the way south to Palos Verdes. |
Another famous landmark, the Santa Monica Pier, the location for many movies including 1973's "The Sting," with Robert Redford and Paul Newman.  |

Another of my favorite spots, the Venice Beach sidewalk.  |
 Artists, free spirits, skaters, bikers, joggers -- they all come together on the Venice sidewalk. |
